The ITIL® methodology (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a set of Best Practices for the management of ICT services. It. These Best Practices are is oriented to align those services with business needs and cover mainly two areas: service support and service delivery.

ITIL® management is based on four pillars: processes, people, suppliers and products.

  • Process: set of activities, flows and responsibilities.
  • People: subjects receiving the service.
  • Also try: any business or department involved in the service, whether in management, support or provision.
  • Products: services delivered to users as well as infrastructure and applications that support them.

ITIL® has two main goals:
