'Experience and efficiency in tourism through technology', a professional conference by Ötentik and the Association of Economists of Catalonia under B-TRAVEL 2016, reaffirmed, once again, the importance of technology in the hospitality industry. 

The organization of B-Travel 2016 carried out a series of professional conferences to discuss the latest trends in a crucial sector for the economy that, according to the World Travel and Tourism, generates nearly a million direct jobs in Spain.

Among them,'Experience and efficiency through technology', a professional conference presented by Ötentik Hospitality and the Association of Economists of Catalonia, and sponsored by SII Concatel. A prestige business meeting where were discussed the new challenges arising in this sector, new consumer values, and how it has created disruptions in the classical models of investment and development of the hospitality industry.

An industry that, as concluded, needs new and more intense experiences that will be achieved through the alignment of services and technology. The speakers were Carlos Barrabés, a recognized expert in business strategy, and Ian Millar, Professor of ICT Lausanne Hotel School in Switzerland. The moderator of the event was Ricard Santomà, Dean of the Faculty and Hotel Management Sant Ignasi - Universitat Ramon Llull.
