SII Concatel provides knowledge about Smart Cities to Tarragona Mediterranean Games 2017


SII Concatel has had the opportunity to contribute to this great challenge, that is turn Tarragona into an intelligent and sustainable city.

 


The Mediterranean Games are a set of multi-sport and cultural events that were held for first time in Alexandria (1951), and where only can participate the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea.

For its eighteenth edition, that will be held in July 2017, Tarragona has been chosen to be the host city. With an event like this, there arises a unique opportunity to accelerate strategies and dynamics of transformation, in which the city is already immersed in many ways, but mainly on the challenge of becoming a smart city.

We're not just talking about infrastructure, but about improving the overall position of the city in the world, committed to building a knowledge society, going hand in hand with technological progress.

SII Concatel has had the opportunity to contribute to this great challenge, that is turn Tarragona into an intelligent and sustainable city.

Therefore, our consulting team overturned, enthusiastically, in the drafting of this document, which proposes to convert Tarragona in a sustainable and respectful Smart City.

A total of 25 countries, and more than 33 sports such as horse riding, athletics, basketball, sailing or swimming will participate in the 2017 Mediterranean Games. We would like to take this information to encourage everyone to attend this great event that will surely bring health, fun and happiness for everyone.
